At Grant Engineering and Construction Group, LLC, we believe that building stronger communities starts with investing in the next generation. That’s why we were proud to participate in the Newark Youth Career Pathways (NYCP) program this spring in a Citywide initiative aimed at exposing young people to meaningful career opportunities and helping them develop the skills needed for long term success.
Through our participation with NYCP, we hosted a group of talented and ambitious high school students from local public schools at our Newark headquarters in Newark. These students explored what it means to work in civil engineering and construction management. They gained firsthand insight into the work we do across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Our team members shared their professional journeys and gave students a closer look at real-world engineering projects. We also held Q&A sessions to help students understand the educational paths, certifications, and experiences that lead to careers in Civil Engineering and infrastructure development.
We extend our gratitude to Newark Youth Career Pathways and our fellow community partners for making this program a success. Together, we’re inspiring future engineers and project managers and laying the foundation for a stronger, more equitable Newark.
