BRIAN GRANT, PE, PME, CPWM

Managing Principal

Mr. Grant has over twenty-five (25) years of civil engineering, structural engineering, and construction management experience in the private and public sectors. He possesses substantive expertise in engineering design and construction management of building, civil, and parking projects. Brian has represented both public and private clients and understands the objectives and challenges associated with infrastructure and building development projects. He has successfully evaluated and resolved different objectives between private developers and municipalities and has been at the forefront of urban redevelopment as it relates to infrastructure, Brownfields development, non-taxpayer revenue strategies, Public Works, and Parking. Mr. Grant’s design experience included surveying, drainage design, grading design, lighting layout, utility design for several residential and commercial improvements in New Jersey. Mr. Grant has also provided foundation and geotechnical design for foundation systems for several properties damaged by Superstorm Sandy in New Jersey. Projects range in construction value from $100,000 to over $30 million.

JOSEPH CHINNERY, JR., BSCE

Site Civil Practice Lead / Design Project Manager

Joseph has over 25 years of civil engineering, structural engineering, and construction administration experience in the private and public sectors. He possesses significant expertise in engineering design, design review, and construction administration of building and site projects. Joseph has provided design services to both public and private clients and understands the objectives and challenges associated with infrastructure and building development projects.

JAMES “JIM” E. COWLEY, BSCE, PE

Water Practice Lead / Design Project Manager

Mr. Cowley is a licensed Professional Engineer and Water Treatment Plant Operator. He has over 30 years of experience running both regulated public utilities and contract operations. His water treatment expertise was gained working on a wide range of projects that encompassed the water supply cycle from source of supply, through treatment, to the delivery of potable water to the customer’s tap.

WYSTAN BENJAMIN, BSCE, PE

Disaster Recovery Practice Lead / Region 3 Director

Wystan Benjamin is a seasoned professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in the management of complex construction projects. At Grant Engineering, he manages the civil engineering operations for the Region 3 offices in the USVI. In that capacity, he provides project oversight and client management for the ongoing projects of the firm.

ORION JOYNER, PE

Region 2 Director

Orion has 20+ years of experience overseeing civil engineering ventures, encompassing project cost estimation and resource allocation to ensure successful completion. With a strong technical background, he applies a deep understanding of engineering principles, methods, and computations to budgeting, planning, designing, and supervising civil engineering projects such as roads, footpaths, water distribution, and drainage systems. Orion’s meticulous attention to detail is evident in his adeptness at managing records and files. Additionally, he excels as an analytical problem-solver when tackling intricate engineering and design challenges.

KATHY MARTIN, MBA, PMP

Operations Manager

Kathy Martin is an experienced Business Operations analyst and Strategic Planner. Ms. Martin has over twenty (20) years’ experience working for Fortune 500 corporations. Her experience with Marketing, Financial, and Accounting Systems for large business organizations provides a substantial benefit to business organizations seeking to grow and/or transform to the current market dynamics.

KAYLA GONZALEZ

Marketing and Proposal Coordinator

Ms. Gonzalez is a versatile creative marketing and communications professional, complemented by a Graphic Design Certificate. She has 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, project coordination, public relations, and graphic/web design. Kayla has demonstrated ability to design and implement marketing strategies, manage multi-channel campaigns, and produce compelling written and visual content.

Project Manager

Mr. Ray has over twenty-five (25) years of Design, Project Management, Site Evaluation and Site Entitlement experience. In addition to his passion for inspired design as evidenced with an AIA Honorable Mention for the Competition’s Magazine Portland Mixed Use Project, he also has a pragmatic basis. He understands programmatic features are essential to enable a building or space to function for people and business. Brian is detail oriented and places significant importance on providing professional services that exceed Client expectations.

KEVIN J. HUGHES, EIT, MSCE

Project Engineer I, Civil

Mr. Hughes has over 5 years of experience in civil site development, surveying, structural investigation, and assessment. Mr. Hughes has served as Design Engineer on over thirty (30) site development projects involving over 1,000 residential units. Mr. Hughes performs engineering analysis for grading, drainage, and utility improvements to development sites.

Design Engineer I

Ms. Garrett is an entry level engineer with experience in civil site development, wastewater design, structural design, and construction administration. Ayanna is experienced in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and storm water analysis.

QAHAAR DAWKINS

CADD Technician I, Civil

Mr. Dawkins has four (4) years of Surveying CADD, and Site Civil Engineering Design experience. He has worked on oversite development and utility projects in Essex, Hudson, Mercer, and Camden Counties.

JACQUELINE LEE

CADD Designer II, Disaster Recovery

Ms. Lee is an experienced Project Manager and Designer with over two decades of experience in architectural design and project management across diverse sectors, including residential, commercial, and institutional projects.

GREGORIO (JOJO) PAEZ, BSME

CADD Designer II, Civil

Mr. Paez has thirty (30) years’ experience in engineering design and detailing. He is proficient in generating plans from concept to final design/details.  He has prepared CADD drawings for civil, architectural, marine/coastal, and structural disciplines. 

His GIS experience includes the preparation of maps with numerous levels of information which can be used to do inventory and analyze various site properties. The GIS mapping that he prepared included the following datasets: aerial photography, land cover information, soil maps, threatened and endangered species mapping, zoning Information; emergency service Information, and utility mapping.

AJIBOLA (OLA) SHITTU, BSMET, PMP

Construction Engineer II, NJ, Civil

Ajibola has eight (8) years of progressive experience in construction management for residential and commercial building projects. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Mr. Shittu’s experience includes office engineering, equipment maintenance, cost estimating, and commissioning of mechanical equipment. Mr. Shittu currently serves as a Construction Engineer on the $122 million Lead Service Line Replacement Program (LSLRP) in the State of New Jersey.

OLUWASEYI (ISRAEL) ADESIYAN, MSCE, MBA, PMP

Construction Manager, NJ, Civil

Oluwaseyi has over twelve (12) years of progressive construction management, quantity takeoff, construction estimating, and project engineering experience. He has worked on projects in New Jersey, Saudi Arabia, and Nigeria. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has received his Construction Management Certification from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) where he is currently a candidate for his Master of Master of Science (Construction Management) degree.

Samuel O. Oriola has over twelve (12) years of experience in construction management, design, and analysis for residential, commercial, and industrial building projects. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Mr. Oriola’s experience includes project management and project site engineering.
